I used to think that when you were poor or in poverty it meant you were broke financially. Then God showed me the truth and true definition of both. Proverb 10:15 on the last part caught my attention"... the destruction of the poor is their poverty." What did that mean? God used the two words seperately. The definition of "poor" is empty, without. The definition of "Poverty" is The condition of lacking quality. I have to repeat that: The definition of "Poverty" is THE CONDITION of lacking QUALITY.
So I broke down the words of the sentence to get a better understanding.
1. Condition: Anything that must happen before something else can take it's place.
2. Lacking: A need for something that's missing.
3. Quality: The make-up of it's charictaristics, Nature, and degree of excellence.
Poverty: The ANYTHING which must happen; berfore something else can take it's place (of) a need for something (which is not enough) is missing the make-up of it's charataristics, Naturally and degree of excellence.
Once you go handicapped --- you never go back!
Handicap definition: Something has got to go before you can be blessed. If you hold on to the "little thing" you will not have enough of anything, and will be missing a Natural amount of perfection.
Whoh! It is the ACTION that is missing. Poverty is the action that creates the "poor" or emptiness. and it is true, because it is written again in this definition in Proverbs 11:24 "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth: and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but: it tendeth to poverty."
So in order to get out of poverty I'm thinking we need to reverse the definition so we can be blessed! I don't want to "tend" to poverty! In any way shape or form! I want to have a Natural Degree of Excellence without missing anything! So what has got to go in order to be blessed?
Look at Prov 11:24 the part that says, "..There is that withholdeth more than is meet..." do the opposite. Don't withold more than you should. So you want proof -- Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you...... for the SAME measure that you mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Whatever you give, will be given to you. It doesn't matter what it is! Shoes, clothes, money, your time, effort, energy, your home, your "things". It says "give".
So I challenge you... give the very thing you want to have. Give it with a happy heart on purpose, and let God bless you!!!
