Disappointment

Posted on February 3, 2015 at 6:20 PM

Disappointment can feel like: Hope lost, but it doesn't need to feel that way. As you look inside and are Honest with yourself, you can find that it is stemming from your internal idea's of expectations. It doesn't mean that perticular person or thing has control over you to remove hope. You just had an expectation placed there inside that didn't work at that time. It doesn't mean your wrong.... It just means: IT wasn't the right time. We can not forget it is God's timing.

Most of us experience this feeling. Especially when someone say's something and then it doesn't happen. God says when someone does that, and it doesn't happen then not to worry it isn't from Him. Don't get upset with the person; instead ask God for what you need and instead of going nuts -- watch. God never said, "wait" he said, "Watch and wait." When you ask God and watch and wait you find hope, not disappointment. Example: My van wouldn't start. So many things I had to replace and it still wouldn't start. I had an expectation. Fixed all the fuel functions of the van, because a whole bunch of mechanics said to and it still didn't start. I prayed and asked God what is wrong with it? He said, replace the alternator. I laughed, because now I was broke and had to wait again, but I knew it was my expectation and not God's. Then I asked God why I needed to replace everything first? He reminded me - "You have not because you asked not, and winter is coming. Didn't want you to go through the "domino effect" later." Not only did God provide for winter; He also provided solving the problems that would have been before they happened and I wouldn't have to fix them in the snow. God's plan is not ours. He puts in the fine details we would miss later on and prevents our "later handicaps". When we watch and pay attention to what he is doing - we don't stress out - we are blessed.
